Bobby Nicholson and Eddy Hanson began playing in '97 under the name of The Roods. As the band began to develop, Rantum Scantum was the name adopted for their duo gigs.
Originally to be found playing in Edinburgh's Old Town, Rantum Scantum have since branched out and now regularly travel all around the U.K. and Europe.

However, they can still be found plying their trade in some of the capital's more exclusive venues (see gig guide). They are renowned for a lively eclectic mix of traditional, contemporary and original material on guitar and violin.
They currently have 2 cds available at their gigs: 'Live at the Scotsman' (2002) and 'Home Ground' (2007)
